Despite a dominating season by league champion Greensburg (27-2. No. 3 in Class 3A), Lawrenceburg’s Nathan Lambert earned the respect of conference coaches in 2012. So much so that the 6’3” right-hander – the only hurler to beat the Pirates in Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference play this season – was voted league MVP. That consensus of opinion makes Lambert, who led coach Joe Vogelgesang’s Tigers to a 20-10 season and 7-3 second-place EIAC finish, the clear choice for Dearborn County baseball Player of the Year.
