The Big Oaks Conservation Society and Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge are hosting the seventh annual Outdoor Women at Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge oSaturday, June 2 , Madison. Outdoor Women at Big Oaks is a one-day program designed to offer women ages 14 and over the opportunity to gain valuable in-the-field skills in an environment that encourages fun and success in the outdoors. The award-winning program teaches outdoor skills to women through a variety of courses including fishing, hunting, archery, shooting sports, wilderness survival, outdoor photography, canoeing, bird watching and much more. This event also fosters a greater appreciation for wildlife conservation and allows women to meet others who share their enthusiasm for the outdoors. Registration forms can be downloaded from www.fws.gov/midwest/bigoaks or bigoaks.org Call the refuge office at 1-812-273-0783 to receive a mailed registration form. Some classes are limited in size, so early registration is recommended. The deadline for early registration is Tuesday, May 1 Cost is $50 adults; $35 for women age 14-18 when accompanied by an adult. Registration after May 1 until May 22 is $60. The
registration fee includes a choice of 3\three courses, continental breakfast,
lunch, use of equipment and supplies, and a day pass to Big Oaks
