Joseph Lynn Tuttle, 54, of Tiger, Ga., and formerly of Milan, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010. Survived by wife, Jeannie; brothers, Charles Tuttle, Sunman, Fred Tuttle, Canaan, Glen Tuttle, Indianapolis, and Tim Tuttle, Milan; sisters, Nina Harrison, Waycross, Ga., Sandra McClanahan, Moores Hill, and Christina Wilson, Souderton, Penn. Visitation is at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan, Friday, Aug. 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, with burial in Craven Cemetery, Milan. |

Charles Donald Griffis, 75, of Aurora passed away Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at Dearborn County Hospital, Lawrenceburg. Charles was born Dec. 31, 1934, in Whitley County, Ky., the son of Charlie and Truey (Grant) Griffis. He married Elsie Jane Tirey Dec. 10, 1954, and she preceded him in death July 7, 1998. Mr. Griffis was a foreman with the C. Smith Co. in Blue Ash. He was a member of the F & AM Masonic Lodge No. 762 in Western Hills and the Sons of the American Legion at Moores Hill. He is survived by sons Charles Lee (Lisa) Griffis of Aurora; Randy (Michele) Griffis of Manchester, and daughter Pam (Robert) Earls of Cincinnati; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in eath by his wife, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home in Moores Hill with the Rev. Leamon Branscomb officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Sinai Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home. Masonic services will be at 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Dillsboro or Moores Hill Rescue Units. |

Emma R. Steiner, 92, of Lawrenceburg, Ind., died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, in Batesville, Ind. She was born Thursday, May 9, 1918, in Aurora, Ind., daughter of the late Benjamin Sheldon and the late Elizabeth McAllister Sheldon. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church Bellaire. She enjoyed reading and working the daily Cryptoquip. She worked as a Supervisor for Thatcher Glass Manufacturer, retiring after several years of service . Surviving are daughter, Marilyn (husband, B.J.) Centers of Lawrenceburg, Ind.; sons, Darryl Miller of Nevada, Mo., Richard (wife, Sandy) Bockhorst of Vista, Calif., Michael Bockhorst of Ft. Wright, Ky.; brother, Charles (wife, Mary) Sheldon, Calif.; 7 grandchild and 6 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Steiner. Friends will be received 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at the St. John Lutheran Church, Bellaire, 4937 Ind. 48, Lawrenceburg, IN 47025. Services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, Saturday, Aug. 28, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Marlyn Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, Ind. Contributions may be made to the Phi Beta Psi Cancer Service Division or St. John Lutheran Church Endowment Fund. |

Marjorie Ann Oakley-Snelling, 68, Aurora, passed away Tuesday evening, Aug, 24, in Dearborn County Hospital, Lawrenceburg. She was born Sept. 30, 1941, in Kentucky to Otto Snelling and Carrie Harrington Snelling. On April 7, 1959, she married Robert Oakley. He passed away March 7, 2002. She was employed as a medical tech supervisor at a group home in Lawrenceburg and Aurora for many years. Surviving are son, Robert (Carolyn) Oakley Jr., Greendale; five daughters, Karen (Gary) Leasure, Aurora; Sherri Porter, Hebron, Ky.; Deborah (Mitch) Bergman, Milan; Phyllis McGownd, Lawrenceburg; Teresa Conley, Erlanger, Ky; one brother, Gene Snelling, Aurora; one sister, Francis Rogers, Ft. Mitchell, Ky.; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Robert in 2002 and a granddaughter, Misty Leasure, 2005. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Filter DeVries Funeral Home, Dillsboro. Visitation is 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at the funeral home. Burial is in Oakdale Cemetery, Dillsboro. Memorials may be given to the Heart Fund, the Cancer Society or to the family. |

Harry R. Ohlhaut, beloved husband of Mary R. (nee Merten) Ohlhaut, loving father of Paula (Ron) Rooks, Martin (Joeline) Ohlhaut, Christine (Peter) Schneider, David (Terree) Ohlhaut, Janie (Graeme) Cook and Daniel (Beth) Ohlhaut, and the late Stevie R. Ohlhaut, 44 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and dear brother of Marianne (LeRoy) Bach and the late Paul Ohlhaut, the late Margie Wurst and the late Jeanne Oberhelman. He died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, at age 89. He was a World War II veteran. Visitation is 4 p.m to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010, at Dennis George Funeral Home, 44 S. Miami Ave., Cleves. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 25 E. Harrison Ave., North Bend, Ohio, with burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorials maybe made to Human Life International Fund.
