Former Aurora assistant police chief Dennis Lewis was credited with 294 days toward the prison sentence handed down by Judge Jon Cleary Thursday, Sept. 2, in Dearborn Superior Court No. 1. As part of a plea agreement, the Dillsboro resident pleaded guilty in July to one count of child solicitation, a Class C felony, in connection with sexual Internet chat with a person Lewis believed to be a 13-year-old girl. Four other counts were dropped. |

After Una Florence’s toes were crushed in 11th grade, they healed - sort of. Occasionally, pain would radiate up her leg, and eventually the smallest two toes became numb.
